Little British Battler 100 Event 2017

TechMarketView Championing SMEs

LBB logoAt TechMarketView we’re proud of the fact that we spend as much time talking to small UK software and IT services (SITS) firms as we do to the giants of the industry. We call these SMEs Little British Battlers and the LBB logo has become a beacon for innovative SMEs that are punching above their weight.

Little British Battler Programme

In 2012 we ran our inaugural Little British Battler Day, inviting applications from small, privately held UK-headquartered tech firms who were looking for some candid, expert feedback on their company and propositions and, of course, some ‘airtime’ in TechMarketView’s research – for free! The event was a huge success and we've run LBB days on a regular basis since. Click here to find out more about our LBB Programme.

picThis year we are celebrating the fact that more than 100 innovative UK tech SMEs have now taken part in our ‘Little British Battler’ (or LBB) Programme. The programme has been running for five years and in that time we’ve met some truly inspiring companies that really are punching above their weight in the software and IT services space.

To celebrate this milestone, we held a drinks reception at the OXO Tower in London in March, in association with our sponsors Oracle NetSuite. Over 150 leaders from the UK tech sector came along, including our LBBs, clients and other friends of TechMarketView. Our special guest speaker was the Right Honourable Matt Hancock, MP, Minister of State for Digital and Culture. As expected, it turned out to be a fantastic evening of networking over drinks and canapes.

Picture shows (L to R): Tola Sargeant (TechMarketView Director); David Turner (Senior Director,  EMEA Marketing, Oracle – NetSuite); Matt Hancock MP (Minister for State for Digital and Culture); Anthony Miller) (TechMarketView Managing Partner); Richard Holway (TechMarketView Chairman).
