*NEW RESEARCH*: Opportunities in mobile micro moments

ImageWith so much business and consumer activity switching to mobile devices the battle for the hearts, minds and fingers of mobile users is frenetic. Where there is frenzy, there is radical change and the emergence of mobile micro moments is the latest proof point.

The mobile environment is at the sharp end of changes in user behaviour and how individuals consume data to make decisions. One of the effects of these changes is the emergence of mobile micro moments. These are bursts of activity driven by an immediate need, question, or simple curiosity that occur multiple times a day and can be over in a matter of seconds. They are the epitome of ‘I want something, and I want it now’ urges, with users fulfilling them by reaching for their nearest mobile device. For UK SITS providers they present both hard challenges and fresh revenue opportunities but the level of complexity means the benefits will be hard won.
