*NEW RESEARCH* Has UK and Irish Tech funding peaked?

There was a total of £1.58b invested in 252 UK and Irish technology companies by 294 investors in Q1 2019, according to the latest data from corporate finance firm, Ascendant. Although this is more than the same period last year, there has been a downward trend in both the number and aggregate value of investments in the sector since Q2 2018 suggesting that the market may have finally turned.
