The UK local government SITS supplier landscape is dominated by IT and business services players that continue to benefit from the steady flow of revenues attributable to the raft of multimillion and multibillion multi-service line contracts signed over the last decade. Mega BPO deals still exist but they are not as prevalent as they once were. At the same time, there’s some formidable new competition succeeding in winning deals and taking market share. As a result suppliers are changing tack: some are trying to differentiate their BPO offerings, some are adding ‘point solutions’ to their existing portfolios, and some are backing away from mega BPO contracts altogether.
