Kate Hanaghan is Chief Research Officer at TechMarketView with responsibility for driving forward the research agenda and running the team of analysts.

Kate joined TechMarketView in October 2012 as Research Director for InfrastructureViews. She is a highly regarded analyst having tracked the European and UK IT services markets for around ten years.

Before joining TechMarketView, Kate was co-founder of K2 Advisory where she ran the independent research programme for CIOs. Previously, Kate worked alongside current members of the TechMarketView team as a Senior Analyst within Ovum’s IT Services Practice.

Over the years Kate has been involved with some of the industry’s defining research into the UK market, analysing key trends and forecasting growth and areas of opportunity. She has worked closely with suppliers to the UK market (large and small) to help them understand how new delivery models are shaping the vendor landscape, and has provided strategic advice on outsourcing to IT buyers across numerous vertical sectors.

Before working as an analyst, Kate was a journalist and online TV reporter specialising in technology.

Kate holds a BA (Hons) degree in History with Psychology.
