In this latest edition of IndustryViews Venture Capital we meet up with Richard Moore, Investment Director at Calculus Capital, who led the recent funding round for Reading-based operations management software firm Active Operations Management International (AOMi).  AOMi had grown steadily and profitably without the need for external funding. But in order to accelerate growth, management accepted that it was time to bring in professional investors and strengthen the board with experienced advisors.

We also expand our discussion on ‘what is a tech company?’ and explain why we believe new labels are needed to differentiate between companies which sell tech versus those who use it to drive their businesses.
