Developed in the UK, Assuria provides trusted software solutions and that power Security Operations Centres (SOCs) worldwide. Our software is used by both enterprises and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) to provide Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services.
The SOC partner programme is Assuria’s primary growth engine and is aimed at our prime market, i.e., mid-sized organisations in almost any sector. Our only route to market is through finding suitable partners which wish to become MSSPs and provide MDR services to this mid-market.
It is often those who already have some exposure to cyber security services that find they benefit the most. Existing partners range from medium sized IT service providers through to small, specialist cyber consultancies. Their end customers can be small businesses with a single managed firewall through to international organisations with many devices that need monitoring.
Our programme is unique in offering a range of business support services: business planning, financial modelling, marketing assistance, sales development, HR advice, model contracts and more. And of course, the all important technical software stack that powers your service.
Not necessarily. There are many options available although often hosting the system yourselves is often cheaper and better.
Partners typically need to invest £30k+ in hardware, people and other costs in order to get their SOC up and running. In addition there is a programme joining fee that varies depending on a number of factors. But it is priced low and provides unlimited sales, marketing, legal, financial and technical support to get you up a running.
Under the programme you get a free unlimited copy for self monitoring of your own business plus the ability to offer free customer evaluations. Once you start charging a customer our prices are based on the number of devices each customer is having monitored. There are no EPS (events per second) charges as is so common in our industry.
There are no ongoing fees per se. There is an annual mandatory minimum sales figure but all sales are offset against this and it is designed to be easily achievable.
From as little as four weeks. But so much depends on your own plans and existing skills plus the availability of a suitable platform.
The technology is built on Linux and VMware and a reasonable understanding of networking is useful. Other than this the key skills are around the ability to analyse security events and work with your customer to resolve any issues.
Our partnership philosophy is built on a shared risk/reward approach. We only make money when you make money. So we are motivated to help you achieve your sales targets and keep your customers happy. We therefore offer unlimited support – both commercial and technical – whilst you get to the point of self sufficiency. On an ongoing basis we will support you fully and where appropriate will supply onsite sales and pre-sales consultants. None of this is chargeable unless you yourself are charging the customer.
You need to fill in and submit the application on our website here. Your application must be received by close of business Friday 12th March 2021. Assuria may contact you after you have submitted your application if they need further information. In any event, we will advise you of the status of your application by Friday 26th March 2021. Pitch sessions will be held during week beginning 12th April 2021. There is no fee required to apply for or participate in a pitch session.
If you are selected for a pitch session, you will be assigned a one-hour slot to present and discuss your business to an executive team from Assuria and analysts from TechMarketView. The session is interactive and we will give you preliminary feedback at the end. The pitch session will be conducted through Microsoft Teams. You will be asked to submit a short company presentation one week before the pitch session so that we can make best use of your time with us.
It is a condition of acceptance that the Founder/CEO/MD of your business should participate along with at least one other member of the executive management team and/or key personnel, up to a maximum of three people.
Assuria will advise candidates whether or not they wish to take partnership discussions any further within two weeks of the pitch session.
All information you provide will be kept in strict confidence and will only be made available to selected personnel within TechMarketView and Assuria, and its authorised partners with a need to know.
