Arvato to automate Britain’s Got Talent

ArvatoSlough based Business Process Services (BPS) specialist Arvato signed an interesting managed service automation deal last week with media player Fremantle, illustrating demand for Robotic Process Automation’s (RPA) is now coming from all parts of the economy.

Headquartered in London, Fremantle has become a significant media player responsible for creating and distributing a wide range of content including things like Britain’s Got Talent, The X Factor, The Price is Right to The Apprentice and Neighbours.

Arvato is using RPA is automate parts of Fremantle’s finance function via a managed service agreement. Processes to be automated include cutting the time required to produce hedging analysis for its London based divisions and monthly producer share reports for each of the 30 territories in the company’s network. RPA is being used to create a virtual workforce that will replace repetitive, labour-intensive tasks.

Arvato is famously part of the Bertelsmann Group, one of the world’s largest media organisations and will be no doubt looking to capitalise on this as a specialist provider of automation solutions geared to the sector, and having Fremantle as client will do no harm at all.
