North Wales Fire & Rescue Service moves to TechnologyOne

TechnologyOne logoNorth Wales Fire & Rescue Service has signed a contract with ASX-listed ERP provider TechnologyOne to switch its finance systems to its SaaS solution.

North Wales Fire & Rescue Service helps to protect a population of c.678k people over an area of 2,400 square miles, it employs almost 1,000 staff in operational and support roles, has a fleet of 54 fire appliances, and attends over 4,000 emergencies each year. It has a geographically dispersed workforce with its headquarters based in St Asaph and having responsibility for 45 fire stations across the region.

The organisation is currently using a range of different systems and spreadsheets to manage its finances. By moving to the new SaaS system, it will be able to access and use a range of general ledger, accounts, budgeting, forecasting and asset management systems at any time and on any connected device. The need for a more agile and mobile solution has been highlighted by the challenges created by the pandemic.

This is the second Fire & Rescue Service to sign-up to TechnologyOne in the UK. It follows  the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, which has already deployed TechnologyOne’s platform. The latest contract follows the Mid & East Antrim Borough Council and Warwick District Council deals announced earlier this year.
