Acquisitive technology company group ClearCourse has announced its first acquisition of 2021, adding PPM Software to strengthen its healthcare and CRM capabilities. Founded in 1998, PPM Software provides health practice management software to the private healthcare sector. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Although PPM is only small – its accounts show it had five employees in its last FY – it is well established and has some big name customers from the UK private healthcare market including Nuffield Health, Spire Healthcare and BMI Healthcare. Its solution provides a single platform from which users can manage their practices, automating tasks and workflows such as patient bookings and theatre lists.
The deal is the latest in a prolific run of acquisitions for ClearCourse which, backed by Aquiline Capital Partners, is focused on assembling an array of complementary technology companies focused on the membership, events & bookings, sports & leisure, and healthcare sectors. PPM Software’s assets complement those of another ClearCourse company – e-Clinic – and the plan, it seems, is for the acquisition to drive growth at both companies by enabling them to share best practice and target new customers.
