Northgate Public Services (NPS) has worked in partnership with Colchester Borough Council and its housing subsidiary, Colchester Borough Homes, to introduce its NPS Housing platform.
Despite being managed remotely during the pandemic, the system went live in just over 11 months, allowing residents and housing staff to access NPS Housing in the cloud.
Once all phases of the project are complete, residents will have the option to view their rental statements, manage payments and report repairs from home. Housing staff can update tenancy records and analyse data, e.g. geographical location and condition of properties, from any device.
NPS' investment in its NPS Housing software over the last three years appears to have paid off and it has achieved an impressive win rate in recent months.
The company, which has just announced that Tina Whitley will be succeeding Steve Callaghan as CEO effective from 01 April 2021, has also revealed it will be rebranding (see Northgate Public Services announces new CEO). From July 2021, it will come under its parent company's brand and become NEC Software Solutions UK. Since being acquired by NEC in 2018 (see Northgate Public Services ready to ‘run’ with NEC), it has invested £42m in product development and £29m on acquisitions. It will remain a separate limited company and will continue to operate from its offices in the UK.
