Aqilla helps Keep Britain Tidy

Aqilla logoA contract by cloud accounting provider Aqilla points to a requirement for sector specialist capability even in what are considered to be horizontal tech areas. The Keep Britain Tidy charity opted for Aqilla’s solution when replacing its existing solution.

The roots of Keep Britain Tidy go back to 1954 when it was adopted as a resolution by the National Federation of Women’s Institutes and was subsequently registered as a charity in 1960. Since then it has merged with several other charities and has a wider environmental brief.

It needs to comply with accounting requirements but as a charity has unique requirements and like most charities relying on a mix of individual donations, partnerships with businesses and public bodies has to be cost conscious. The incumbent Microsoft Great Plains solution was deemed too inflexible and lacked the desired reporting features while alternatives such as Sage and NetSuite were considered too expensive. Aqilla’s combination of the necessary reporting features at a fraction of the cost, plus the added benefit of quick implementation and easy onboarding secured the contract, along with the gains that come from a cloud offering compared to an on-premise solution. Since it has been in use, Keep Britain Tidy reports increased efficiency on day-to-day operations from Aqilla’s reporting capabilities and with less time spent on manual processing, staff can focus on the details, accurate coding, and keeping costs in control.

It’s always good to hear about successful outcomes and with fierce competition within the cloud accounting sector, case studies like this build visibility and credibility for Aqilla while also highlighting the adoption of cloud accounting solutions across the wider market.
