EY doubles down on change management

LogoAn increasingly acquisitive EY UK has snapped up a second people change management consultancy in relatively quick succession. The purchase of Durham-based Tao Leadership, which offers people analytics and behaviour change programmes to support organisational transformations, follows just a few months after the Big 4 firm bought leadership and team development specialists Lane4.

Founded in 2013, Tao Leadership’s methodology uses a combination of networkLogo science, behavioural analytics and psychology. Employing c.10 personnel, the company’s combination of skills and technology will add to EY’s existing portfolio culture and change approaches and tools.

After two consecutive years of decline, EY UK’s consulting revenues increased at a near double-digit rate in FY21 (see here). Inorganic growth certainly playing a part in the improvements in the firm’s performance. Over the last six months, the firm has bought six companies including two Microsoft Gold partners as well as aforementioned change management specialists. It would seem improbable that the Tao Leadership buy now marks the end of the acquisition trail in this country for the advisory services heavyweight.
