Attracting funding in the UK market

The funding environment for early-stage companies in the UK is undeveloped in comparison to the US and some other countries. Despite the quality and quantity of developments in the UK, the market has historically been short of the capital required to exploit and drive the opportunities to full commercialisation.

This is changing, however, with more venture funding available through a greater number of funding vehicles.

But how do start-ups and other firms go about attracting this investment? Furthermore, how do they ensure they make the right decisions and don’t get caught out along the way?
