TCS lands 10-year TfL Taxi admin deal

TCSTCS continues to progress in the UK, signing a major smart mobility contract with Transport for London (TfL) designed to transform the admin of Taxi and private hire vehicles across the Capital.

TFLThe contract is for an initial period of ten years with a five-year optional extension and will make extensive use of TCS’s government platform ‘DigiGOV’ to improve the user experience. The new system is designed to encourage self-service among licensees and will offer on-demand data and records management, licensing payments and refunds to vehicle operators/owners all via digital channels. There is a specific focus on linking the front-end user interface with back-end activities such as bookings, personal details processing and vehicle inspections. Data will be hosted in the AWS cloud designed to be scalable for future growth and resilient to avoid outages in business hours.

This is another really good win for TCS with one of the top authorities in the transport space. TCS has a growing Public Sector presence with this Taxi deal potentially opening up further opportunities within both TfL and other UK licensing authorities looking to digitise admin.
