CentralNic continues to surge ahead

CentralNicInternet domain name and web services provider CentralNic Group has published a very strong set of results for the first nine months of the financial year that has total revenue increasing 67% to $282m (Sept 2020 YTD: $168.5m). Whilst CentralNic has been extremely acquisitive over recent years (see herehere and here) organic growth was also very strong growing 29% between September 2020 YTD and September 2021 YTD. Adjusted EBITDA also increased by 46% to $32.3m (Sept 2020 YTD: $22.1m).

Whilst the business has undoubtably benefited from a Covid pull to digital, it is also enjoying the fruits of a successful restructure and provision of higher value services. CentralNic’s focus has been to look to rapidly build scale through multiple acquisitions and organic growth in areas that deliver high recurring revenue and high cash conversion. It is a strategy that continues to serve the company well. The significant investment in new management, staff and systems made so far this year, moreover, should also help the group maintain its underlying business trajectory. The business has also invested in a new Data and AI group (see here) set up to improve customer service, enhance marketing and automate detection of non-compliant customer activity.

Management now expects full year revenues and profits at the upper end of market expectations.
