UK HQ’d software supplier OneAdvanced has announced the launch of ‘OneAdvanced AI’ – a secure, compliant and UK sovereign service that can enable access to a Large Language Model (LLM) operating in a private, closed, and fully encrypted environment. We recently caught up with Amanada Grant, Chief Product Officer at OneAdvanced, to understand how this new service and platform will better enable organisations to further their AI adoption.
OneAdvanced operates largely in the mid-market and upper mid-market, with its software used across thousands of organisations spanning healthcare, education, housing, legal, local government and more. Clients include the British Transport Police, NHS Scotland, St Andrew's Healthcare and the University of Cambridge. Grant said the business has identified rising demand from customers who want to incorporate AI into their business workflows, however many still have concerns around where data is stored and processed, and who can access AI models trained on proprietary data.
In response OneAdvanced has developed its new AI platform, designed to protect organisations confidential data while empowering them to harness the power of AI. It is still at the early stages of development and at present is largely targeted at enhancing the existing software OneAdvanced delivers to clients, facilitating access to GenAI through a self-hosted third party LLM. The aim is to provide a platform that can help customers monitor and control usage, improve productivity and realise efficiency gains, without worrying about integrating off the shelf tools into existing systems.
We are in a very platform centric market at present and this new AI service and platform is just one of many available in the market, as tech suppliers seek to make the client journey to AI adoption as frictionless as possible. OneAdvanced is however banking on its long heritage as a trusted SaaS supplier, as well as captive client base, to present an option between the more expensive hyperscaler platforms and solutions from perhaps less tested startups.
