Access adds some Oosha to its legal portfolio

OoshaEssex-HQ’d software provider Access Group has bolstered its Legal business with another acquisition adding integrated cloud IT services provider, Oosha to the portfolio. Financial details of the deal have not been released.

Access Legal is one of its more recent industry focused businesses, formed following the Capita Eclipse and DPS Software acquisitions that added to existing capabilities and provided the critical mass needed to support a division.

Latest addition Wolverhampton-based Oosha will help boost Access Legal’s cloud capabilities with a 'single sign-on' platform that serves a range of legal and back office processes including things like practice and case management, finance, HR and legal-specific compliance and training. Oosha serves the mid-market and has built up a customer base of over 120 firms.

Access’s expansion strategy and combination of acquisition and organic growth have made it one of the fastest growing UK HQ’d software companies (see The Building of The Access Group). Its Legal Division was only officially launched back in April and is targeting a sector under increasing pressure to embrace new technologies whilst remaining less mature than other fields of digital disruption. Significant barriers to adoption remain and segments of the legal market are at very different stages of maturity and focused on adopting different technologies, thus providing opportunities for suppliers of the likes of Access.
