Salesforce and DevOps are a $55m good fit for Gearset

Gearset logoTech companies who build around Salesforce have a good starting platform in many senses and that seems to be holding true for Gearset who has just raised $55m in funding from Silversmith Capital Partners for its Salesforce DevOps solution.

Since it was founded in Cambridge in 2015 Gearset has bootstrapped its growth. The customer count is approaching 2000 and includes brand names such as McKesson, Accenture and IBM. Last year it opened offices in the US (Chicago) and Ireland (Belfast) and doubled the employee headcount. It aims to increase it headcount from 150 to 220 by the end of the year, which the funding will help support, alongside further toolset development. Management says ARR is over $25m having nearly doubled over the past year and the company is cash flow positive.

It is not the only company providing DevOps for Salesforce as a way of taking the pain out of Salesforce enterprise deployments. As the Salesforce portfolio continues to expand the complexities increase, opening further opportunities for DevOps tooling and their providers.
