Reports of security breaches have become a frequent occurrence. In the UK, Talk Talk was one of the latest big brands to suffer an intrusion but intense attacks are prevalent too. Within the last week Janet, the UK academic research network, came under a sustained Distributed Denial of Service attack. Although the DDOS was repulsed, the attackers appeared to be adjusting their attack methods based on Twitter comments about the situation.
