*UKHotViewsExtra* techUK’s 2023 Cyber Innovation Den

techUKOn Wednesday last week techUK hosted its fifth Cyber Innovation Den, with 10 different Cybersecurity start-ups and SME’s short-listed to pitch their businesses, each vying to be chosen as the winner, as well as demonstrate how they stand out in an increasingly competitive and crowded cybersecurity supplier landscape.

The UK has proven to be a great environment for creating innovative startups and we continue to see significant investment into early-stage innovation, as venture capital and corporate backed funds increasingly look to find the next disruptive players, especially in the cybersecurity space. In addition, a combination of the strength of the UK’s academic institutions, and support from innovation programmes such as NCSC for Startups (the successor to the NCSC Cyber Accelerator) have helped support early-stage companies as they get off the ground.

This year’s selection of Cybersecurity SME’s came from a wide number of fields, pitching solutions ranging from hardware-based products, to mobile app security, to innovative methods for protecting sensitive data, with of course many leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance their solutions.

In this UKHotViewsExtra article we take a look at the 10 companies that pitched at the event, including some additional info from public sources and of course also announce the winner of the techUK competition. The 10 companies covered include; Licel, Lab1, Acubed.IT, Complete Cyber, Goldilock, Secretarium, Verifoxx, FACT360, J2 Software and Falconers Group.
