The latest from TechMarketView

TMV LogoThis autumn has been a busy one for TechMarketView culminating in the launch of ESASViews, a specialist research programme focused on the UK Enterprise Software and Application Services marketplace. Angela Eager, Research Director, launched the programme last week with the publication of the Enterprise Software Supplier Landscape 2012 report. The report provides incisive analysis on the leading players in the UK enterprise software market at a time when disruptive forces such as cloud, mobile, consumer and social technologies threaten to fundamentally change the landscape.

In October, we were delighted to welcome Phil Codling to TechMarketView to lead our infrastructure services research. He’s wasted no time getting his teeth into the subject and you can already enjoy his analysis and opinion in UKHotViews and UKHotViewsExtra - see for example his analysis of BT’s Q2 results, BT Global Services: some light from the high street, on UKHotViewsExtra.

Recent highlights from our public sector research team include Georgina O’Toole’s views on the departure over the last few weeks of both the Government CIO, Joe Harley, and his Deputy, Bill McCluggage; and Tola Sargeant’s analysis of the implications of the cancellation of a key NHS procurement in the South of England (see Axing of Community ASCC contract bodes ill for SIs).

Other research highlights include Angela’s analysis of the opportunities that Salesforce is creating for ISVs and SIs – Salesforce.com: surrounding opportunities – and her coverage of HP’s Q4 results, see Software burns brightly within HP. In the business process space, John O’Brien’s in depth coverage of Diligenta’s £1.4b Friends Life business process services contract is well worth a read as he examines a deal that could nudge parent company TCS into the UK SITS top ten (see BanCS platform key to £1.4b Friends Life deal).

Eligible subscribers to TechMarketViews’ research services can already access all the reports and notes mentioned above at their leisure. If you have yet to sign up, our Client Services Manager Deborah Seth will be more than happy to provide you with further details of our subscription packages.
