The latest from TechMarketView

TMV LogoOne of the highlights of the research published by TechMarketView analysts over the last fortnight was our annual UK Public Sector SITS Market Trends report. Available exclusively to subscribers to our PublicSectorViews research stream, the report includes granular forecasts for the sector through to 2014, as well analysis of the trends that will shape the sector over the next few years. The report was published alongside another from TechMarketView’s public sector team - UK Government ICT Strategy: progress and direction. This candid analysis of the UK government’s ICT strategy, including G-Cloud and the G-Application Store, is another must-read for anyone with skin in the UK public sector SITS market.

In addition to meaty reports and analyst notes, subscribers to our paid research streams have access to UKHotViewsExtra - articles providing a more considered view on the latest developments in the UK SITS sector than is possible in UKHotViews. Last week’s UKHotViewsExtra coverage included SAP’s offensive/defensive weapon - HANA - Research Director for Enterprise Software and Application Services, Angela Eager’s take on SAP’s new development and database platform. In addition, Director Georgina O’Toole analyses an interesting move by SMEs in the UK public sector market in Agile Delivery Network: turning up the SME volume and reflects on Logica’s chances of innovation success in Logica innovates to boost growth.

We’re pleased that once again our research has been attracting a lot of interest from the media. Our two new public sector reports generated plenty of coverage in a wide range of publications including ComputerWeekly (see Government struggling to accelerate ICT strategy), Public Service (see ‘Slow progress’ on Government ICT strategy), UKauthorITy (see Government ‘struggling’ with Phase 2 of ICT strategy) and The Register (see Public-sector software and services looking limp). In other news, John O’Brien, Research Director for Business Process Services, is quoted in India’s Financial Chronicle on Genpact’s purchase of Empower; Director Tola Sargeant’s views on Corero are reported by Microscope (see Corero’s security unit outperformed by legacy education biz); and TechMarketView Chairman Richard Holway is quoted in CIO UK, Information Age and a host of other publications, on the surprisingly low take up by Automony shareholders of HP’s offer.

The reports and UKHotViewsExtra articles highlighted above are only available to subscribers to TechMarketView’s Foundation Service or PublicSectorViews research stream. If you’ve so far managed to resist the temptation to subscribe and you’d like further details, Deborah Seth, our client services manager, will be only too pleased to help.
